Is now a good time to buy or sell a home? Considering the kind of market we’re in, this question has been popping up quite a bit lately. 

Ultimately, it depends. You first need to sit down with your trusted real estate advisor and discuss your goals. Why are you looking to sell or buy today? Map out your goals with their advice, and if it makes sense to move forward with a transaction, then by all means, go for it!

If you’re looking to sell a home in today’s market, doing so right now presents an incredible opportunity. Most homes we see on the market are getting multiple offers, which means some buyers are willing to pay above appraised value, netting you more money in your pocket.

For buyers, interest rates are still very, very low, which makes homes more affordable to purchase. We don’t know exactly what the rates will do six to 12 months from now, but we do expect them to rise. When they rise, your purchasing power will decrease, so I’d highly recommend that you act now.
